Congratulations to our Robotics Team “The Gladiators!”

A big congrats to one of our school's robotics teams that just got back from competing in the VEX Worlds competition (for the first time!) in St. Louis, MO!

“The Gladiators” - Caiden G., Karsten B., Vincent V., Henry T.

The Gladiators played 10 matches in the arts division which was 1 of 5 separate divisions. Each division had around 80-85 teams. They ended up placing 54th in their division with an average score of 217 points and a high score of 308!

The boys were proud of their performance and had a lot of fun making game plans with their alliances. They even practiced for one match in the hotel room of a Chinese team and traded emails with their new friends from Team Chuangyi Exploration, another team from China. They had fun watching the finals and were able to see the number one team in their division get a perfect score of 434 to win the world championship!

Downtime was spent exploring the city museum and the St. Louis arch, and they’ve also received a preview of next year's game…it includes bean bags and looks to be an exciting challenge.
