Band

In the St. Francis Band Program, students develop leadership qualities and responsibility through lessons and rehearsals. In band, we learn the foundations of music such as note and rhythm reading. Students explore musical expression by performing with proper dynamics, tone, articulation, and tempo.

Only area elementary school to offer band starting in 4th grade

Choir

Sue Jewell, Director

The St. Francis choir is open for all 4th through 8th grade students to join. Choir is 30 minutes every week where students enjoy singing as well as learning voice exercises and harmony. Choir students perform in 3 concerts per year, as well as go caroling at local hospitals and nursing homes.

Piano

Sue Jewell, Instructor

Our music teacher, Sue Jewell, is happy to offer private piano lessons to interested students. These can happen before, during, or after school, and are easily integrated into the child’s St. Francis experience. Summer lessons are also available.
