November Music Update
THANK YOU!
Thank you to all the families who helped make our Grandparents Day bake sale a huge success! We have raised $1,730 to help defray the cost of our Christmas program and other school programs.
GRANDPARENTS DAY PROGRAM DVD
St Francis School will have the Grandparents Day DVD available soon for families to purchase. DVD's will be $10. Please call Becky in the office 829-2344 if you would like to purchase a DVD.
CHRISTMAS PROGRAM TUESDAY, DECEMBER 20TH 6:30PM
Mark your calendars for the St. Francis Christmas Program! Our Program will be Tuesday, December 20th at 6:30pm at the Gichi-ziibi Center for the Arts. We are looking forward to performing and celebrating the Christmas Season.
All students are wearing nice dress clothes for the Christmas Program. No Jeans, No tennis shoes, No T-shirts. If girls are wearing dress, length must be below knee. Tops must cover your shoulders.
Our dress rehearsal for the program will be the same day as the program during the school day. Student do not need to dress up for this.
HELP NEEDED!
We are in need of volunteers for the December 20th Christmas Program and dress rehearsal. Mrs. Peterson will be very pregnant and will need help lifting and moving percussion equipment!!
Some tasks needed help with:
-Loading/unloading instruments and equipment in the morning
-Set up during our daytime dress rehearsal
-Loading/unloading equipment after the Program in the evening

CHOIR
The Choir will be caroling will be on Friday December 16th. More details to come in our December newsletter.
BAND
Trash Can Band
Here is the schedule for Tuesday morning rehearsals:
November 8th- Percussion 2
November 15th- Percussion 1
November 22nd- Percussion 2
November 29th- Percussion 1
December 6th- Percussion 2
Jazz Band
The Jazz Band is getting ready for their performance in the Christmas Program. We will continue to have Thursday morning rehearsal, please have your child at school before 7:45.
Concert Attendance
If your child is not attending the Christmas Program, please contact Mrs. Peterson before November 18th. If they are not attending the concert, the student must play all concert music for Mrs. Peterson. Their concert grade will be quality of the performance for Mrs. Peterson.
MUSIC
We are preparing our songs for the Christmas program and will be watching the Grandparent’s Day DVD and enjoying a popcorn party. Students are also busy practicing mass songs for school masses.
Christmas Program songs will be sent home in Friday Folders this week!
MASS
Cantor practice is every Tuesday at 11:30 in the music room. Please remind your child when they need to attend practice.
Here is our schedule for students who are cantors and instrumentalists for our school Masses. If your child is playing in Mass please remind them to practice their parts.
