December Music Update
CHRISTMAS PROGRAM - TUESDAY DECEMBER 20th 6:30PM
Our Program is on Tuesday, December 20th at 6:30pm at the Gichi-ziibi Center for the Arts attached to Brainerd High School. There will be prelude music starting a 6pm performed by Sue Jewell's piano students.
When entering the lobby, there are double doors that lead to the students meeting space for the program. Please read below to know where your child is going. Mrs. Lossow will there to direct students.
Piano students that are playing a Christmas song on the piano before the program need to arrive by 5:45-6:00. We will meet by the stage.
PreK and Kindergarten Students will be sitting with their parents till they are called up to perform. If your kindergartener is part of the Nativity scene they should go to the studio room.
1st-8th Students will meet in the studio room. There should be no food or drinks in this space. Parents cannot drop children off to studio room before 6pm. No student is to be left without parental or teacher supervision.
Band students will meet in the dressing room to warmup at 6:10.
Concert Dress
All students are wearing nice dress clothes for the Christmas Program. No Jeans, No tennis shoes, No T-shirts. If girls are wearing dress, length must be below knee. Tops must cover your shoulders. You can be Christmas themed if you wish!
Choir
The choir will begin their day with pizza at Rafferty’s and continue with caroling at St. Joseph's Hospital and Woodland Good Samaritan Village. We ask that the students bring a water bottle with them for the day and that they are dressed in school uniform or a Christmas Sweater. They may wear a Santa hat or reindeer antler headband.

Time: Leaving the school at 10:45am and returning at 2:30pm

Band
Help needed!
We are in need of volunteers for the Christmas Program. Help is needed with moving band equipment between the Gichi-ziibi Center for the Arts and St. Francis School.

Trimester Two Lessons
We have started a new lesson schedule for Trimester Two. Please help remind your child of their new lesson time.
Jazz Band
Students in Jazz Band are performing for the Christmas Program. Please remind your child to practice their jazz music and attend all rehearsals. Here is the practice schedule till the Program. All practices start at 7:45 in the band room.

Last practice before Christmas break is December 6th with all Trash Can band members.
Music
Our patron saint of music is St. Cecilia. St. Cecilia's feast day was November 22nd. Students in grades PreK through 4th read about her life and worked on activities relating to her. Students in grades 5th through 8th read her biography in class to celebrate her feast day.
Mass Schedule
