Congratulations 8th Grade Graduates!
This morning, we were blessed to celebrate one of our favorite year-end traditions: 8th Grade graduation! Following the last school mass of the year, the ceremony was attended by staff, middle school students, and, of course, the families of our graduates, and we are grateful for all who came to share their love and support of this class.
This is a group of students whose faith, character, and leadership have left a lasting mark on our school community. However, in addition to their academic accomplishments and strong friendships, this 8th grade class is especially remembered for the strength of their faith. In the conclusion of his address to the 8th Grade class, Nate Binsfeld (8th Grade Homeroom Teacher) shared:
“Students in this class are driven by faith. This class has an understanding of our Catholic faith, is willing to share their belief and love of God with others, and understands the importance of walking with Christ. Our class discussions in religion were deeper than any other class I’ve had. It was on display in living rosaries, their understanding of the importance of receiving the Sacraments, their excitement for Father Scott’s Wednesday religion class, and even in praying together in the MSP International Airport before boarding for D.C. This is something that was impressed upon me all year...”
Congratulations on reaching this milestone, 2025 8th Grade graduates! We are so proud of you, and while you’ll always have a place and family here at St. Francis, remember to carry your faith with you wherever you go, keeping your confidence that God is with you always!
Also, we were also blessed to be joined this morning by Deacon Jacob Tschida, who will be ordained to the priesthood in the Diocese of Duluth on June 13th! We are grateful for his presence and prayerful support on this special day, and please keep him in your prayers as he prepares for this joyful step in his vocation!
