Fall Music Update
Grandparents Day Friday October 27th
Here is the schedule for our Grandparents Day. If you have questions, please reach out to Becky in the office.
School Mass at 9
Program at 10:15
Grandparents, parents, and/or special adults are invited for a Grandparent's Day Program in the school gymnasium.
With permission form complete, students are allowed to dismiss with their grandparent/special adult OR students can follow regular dismissal schedule.
Lunch at 11:30
NOTES:
*All K-8 students need to wear their school uniform.
*Band Students: Mrs. Hoffman will need student help to clean up band equipment.
Bake Sale!
The St. Francis of the Lakes Catholic School will be sponsoring a bake sale on Friday, October 27th during Grandparent’s Day. We encourage all families to participate! We will raise money to help offset the cost of renting the Tornstom Auditorium for the Christmas Program. Additional monies will go to other school projects.
We are asking all school families to bring in a baked good to sell. Please package your baked item for sale and bring it into the school on Friday morning October 27th between 7:30 and 9:00am. We will be setting up in the hallway. Please do not put a price on your baked goods as we will be asking for a free will donation.
We will need a lot of baked goods and volunteers to help! If you can help, please fill out the form below and return it to the school office as soon as possible.

Who is Mrs. Hoffman?
Hello! I am Mrs. Hoffman your students new band teacher! A little bit about me: I have 2 wonderful children, Natalie (4) and Alan (1). Natalie is just starting preschool and Alan is just learning to walk. They are my absolute world! I am originally from Fergus Falls and was in every band I could be in in high school. I went to college at Bemidji State. GO BEAVERS! This is where I met my husband, Jeremy. I am a huge fan of sci-fi. Star Trek is my all-time favorite followed closely by Star Wars. Battle star Galactica and Firefly are also up there on my list. My favorite season is Spring because the air is so fresh with things growing!
I am very excited to get to know your son/daughter this year and make wonderful music with them!
Music Class
In music class we are learning songs for Grandparent's Day. Music has been sent home in students Friday folders. We are also practicing our weekly mass songs and responses to improve our singing at mass.
A special thanks to Ellen Smith for donating a Djembe Drum for our music classroom! We are having a lot of fun learning how to play it!
Mass
We have a wonderful group of cantors for our weekly masses. Cantors practice for Mass on Tuesdays in the music room at 11:30 during recess. Thank you, Cantors!
