Danny Hauer was a third grade student at St. Francis Catholic School when he died, unexpectedly, from a brain aneurysm in 1971.

Danny was a special little boy who loved playing with Lincoln Logs and Hot Wheel cars. He always had a smile on his face. Danny loved being outdoors. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and hiking with his family. Danny was a member of the Cub Scouts and he also loved to play basketball.

A few years after Danny passed, St. Francis School started the annual Danny Hauer Basketball Tournament in honor of him. We will never forget Danny.
