In the St. Francis Band Program, students develop leadership qualities and responsibility through lessons and rehearsals. In band, we learn the foundations of music such as note and rhythm reading. Students explore musical expression by performing with proper dynamics, tone, articulation, and tempo.
Only area elementary school to offer band starting in 4th grade

Choir
Sue Jewell, Director
The St. Francis choir is open for all 4th through 8th grade students to join. Choir is 50 minutes weekly where students enjoy singing as well as learning voice exercises and harmony.
Perform in 3 concerts per year
Provide weekly Mass music and occasionally sing at weekend services
Participates in service projects, caroling at local hospital and nursing homes
Piano
Sue Jewell, Instructor
Our music teacher, Sue Jewell, is happy to offer private piano lessons to interested students. This can happen within the school day and summer, and is easily integrated into the child’s St. Francis experience.
