September Music Update
MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 19TH, 2022
GRANDPARENTS DAY
Our Grandparents Day this year is on Friday October 14th. Grandparents are welcomed to join us for Mass at 10am, bring their grandchildren to lunch, and join us for a 1pm Program in the school gym. All Saint Francis students participate in this program.
FOUNDATION DINNER
The 25th Annual Saint Francis of the Lakes Catholic School Foundation Dinner will be held on the same night as our Grandparents Day. If you and any Grandparents are interested in this event, use the link below for more information.

BAKE SALE
The Saint Francis student choir will be sponsoring a bake sale on Grandparents Day. We will be using the proceeds to pay for the Auditorium for our Christmas Program. Any additional proceeds will be put towards other St. Francis School Events. More information will be sent home in October.
SAVE THE DATE
Our Christmas Program will be on Tuesday December 20th at the Gichi-ziibi Center for the Arts attached to Brainerd High School. More information about the Program will be sent later.
MUSIC
Students are busy practicing songs for the Grandparents Day Program and Mass. Songs have been sent home in Friday Folders for extra practice.

CHOIR
St. Francis school has 46 students in choir this year. It is made up of students in 4th through 8th grade. They sound wonderful!

BAND
Lessons have started this past week of school. Please do your best with reminding your child when their lesson is.
Trash Can Band will have rehearsals on Tuesday's at 7:45 in the gym. If your child has not signed up please email me. Students need their own pair of wooden drum sticks for practice. Glow sticks will be needed for performances. They will be preforming for our Grandparents Day Program.
Jazz Band will have rehearsals on Thursday's at 7:45 in the band room. If your child has not signed up please email me. No extra supplies are needed.
The middle school bands will be performing at Grandparents Day. There is no special dress for this program; all students are wearing their school uniform. If a student will be gone from school this day, parents need to reach out to me.
